Now, to answer your question, I suggest you to buy landing upgrades (surface engine and extension pods) to land on hard planets like Douriv, then spare some to buy the v6 engine

P.S: I don't remeber if I bought the first upgrade for the surface engine... how do I know that?
in my page, the image posted in my first message, you can see the level but I don't remember...

You can get the answer by looking carefully at your page (for some other items it's not possible, though)

You have a lvl 1 surface engine, meaning you haven't bought any upgrade for it.

You have a 4-meter long extension pod, meaning you've upgraded it once, probably by a Standard Extension purchase .

are the landing upgrades really that helpful?? i noticed not many people get the perpetual synthesis engine until really late in the game. i personally found it to be a great investment, personally.

It depends whether you are able to land safely on planets like Douriv or Samosa without whem .

I consider both upgrades at lvl 2 (Special Pod Extension + Surface Engine shown as lvl 3 on your page) are useful, but my envelope is larger than yours . I can say last upgrade for both items is a luxury (but a convenient luxury )

(there's a lot of such threads, so I decided not to create another one but to use the latest of them)

I have 13800. What should I buy next? I'd prefer:
- 5th engine (north-eastern, for 15k) or maybe
- 6th drone + perforation tools (for 8k + 4.9k)
, considering that
- I will stay inside Karbonis Belt for a long time (22 more cleanups ~= half a year);
- I want to buy that two upgrades sometime anyway;
- I'm close to [17][4], but I don't mind to make a trip (cleanups are quite boring);
- I find that two upgrades most useful to me for now, but I could miss something...

I think 5 drones are largely enough inside the Belt, so if I were you, I'd buy other upgrades first

The v5 engine is a good idea, but you can also save enough money and buy the v6 when you'll be able to leave the Belt .

You can also consider improving your landing equipment

Or you can start collecting some PIDs

Engine v6.. nooo , I'll never have 80k
Landing equipment.. too early, I think. I just recently got landing pods and never tried to land yet.
PIDs.. thanks, I didn't think about them. But now it's a waste of , they're useless and it's the last mission anyway..

I'll probably make a trip to north-east for a missile, v5 engine and spacesuit soon
