Cilorile (page 1/2)

Does anyone have suggestions for this planet? I can't beat anything on it. I can never get the timing right on those shooter things. I've been avoiding all E and M powerups simply because I can't track it all at the same time. Getting frustrated
All I can say is that you are doing the right thing avoiding [E] p-ups, as that decreases the chance to avoid a guardian conlogremate
All you need is fast reaction. If you see that the ball is going to hit a guardian, prepare yerself And 1 very important thing: FOR ALL THE LOVE THAT IS DECENT DO NOT EVER PRESS SPACEBAR WHILE THERE ARE STILL GUARDIAN CONLOGREMATES BOUND!!! |
Yeah, I found that out the hard way too.
I dunno, I'm just not fast enough (which is odd because I'm really good at FPS games and other reaction-based games) ... or else I move it too early or late. I can't deal with 10+ shooter things on the screen at the start of a level because I can dodge only about half of them |
When you see you are going to hit a guardian conglomerate slowly start moving your envelope across the screen from one side to the next. As long as you are moving when it fires it doesn't have to be fast. If you try and quickly move it is easy to jump the gun and get hit by the laser after you have tried to move.

I'll give it a try tomorrow, I lost all my
I should add that I don't mean super slow, more like a good steady pace. I finished Cilorile back when I thought finishing planets would give you some sort of reward..... I guess it gave me good practice on dodging lasers
I managed to beat two more levels today... though I got a [T] on one, which made it considerably easier
I played four different stages today and lost three of them. I'm simply not good enough to play this mission
I think I'm getting better... I've got about a 75% chance of beating a level... some sections are definitely easier than others. Transform powerups really are invaluable on this
To sum up,
E and M powerups and missiles are Taboo as long as there are guardian |
They are destroyed by bumping them with your ball or damaging them with a volt. They fire quickly right at your envelope. It's easier to dodge the higher up in the field they are, but they can still be difficult, especially if your ball is moving fast and hits a cluster of them.
I got the hang of dodging them for the most part, cleared up all my skulls... have a bout 40% left to explore. Not a fun mission, but the reward sounds pretty cool. Gonna get me some mines soon |
